Why WA Super?
Why WA Super?
WA Super is a Western Australian based industry style super fund available to anyone who is eligible to have a superannuation account. We manage over $2.5 billion of retirement savings for over 40,000 members and have been around for over 25 years.
We hold a 'MySuper' licence from APRA which means WA Super is able to be nominated as a default fund.
Unlike some other super funds, WA Super isn’t run to make a profit for shareholders. Our only goal is to help our 40,000 members retire the way they want to. The way they always imagined they would.
What is a MySuper licence, and why is it important?
WA Super holds a MySuper licence from APRA, which means employers can nominate WA Super as their default super fund. Once you sign up with us, you’ll stay with us and won’t be forced to join a fund you didn’t choose. People who sign up funds that don’t have a MySuper licence may find themselves suddenly being shifted to a different brand or a company that’s based on the East Coast. With WA Super, you’ll always have the right to choose for yourself.
WA Super is the trading name for the WA Local Government Superannuation Plan. It is issued by WA Local Government Superannuation Plan Pty Ltd ABN 64 066 797 162, AFSL 269006, as Trustee for WA Local Government Superannuation Plan ABN 18 159 499 614 SPIN WAL0001AU
