The management team take care of the day to day operations of WA Super. They are employed by WA Local Financial Services Pty Ltd, trading as Western Financial, the business arm of the fund.

Chief Executive Officer
Experience: Fabian has had more than 20 years’ experience in the financial services sector, including Acting Chief Executive Officer and General Manager Wealth Management at GESB, Director and board member of GESB Wealth Management Pty Ltd.
Previously Fabian was the National Head of Wealth Management for HBOS Australia (St Andrews Australia) and has held a variety of positions with the Commonwealth Bank Australia, across retail, corporate /commercial and private divisions.
Most recently Mr Ross has held numerous senior positions across BT Financial Group (BTFG).

General Manager - Client Services and Deputy CEO
Experience: Paul was appointed in March 2006 following a successful career in senior roles within Local Government. Paul is responsible for managing Financial Planning, Member Education, Call Centre, Business Development and Marketing.
Paul holds an MBA from Murdoch University and a Certificate IV Business Excellence & Organisational Self-Assessment, is a Member of the Fund Executives Association Ltd and Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Chief Financial Officer
Experience: Paul was appointed to the CFO role in April 2007 and has worked in the financial services industry for over 35 years. Paul is responsible for managing all financial and IT systems including administration and insurance.
Paul holds a Certificate in the Theory of Accountancy and Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) in Business Data, both from the University of Cape Town (South Africa) and an Advanced Diploma in Superannuation Management.
Manager Compliance and Risk
Experience: Joining WA Local Government Superannuation Plan in April 2007 Alison has worked in the financial services industry for more than 25 years with various roles in the areas of superannuation and financial planning.
Alison is responsible for managing the Risk and Compliance teams.
Alison holds a Bachelor of Business (Marketing) from Curtin University and an Advanced Diploma of Financial Planning.
Experience: Chris was appointed to this role in August 2013, with institutional investment experience covering portfolio construction, risk management, operations and policy development.
Chris is responsible for providing reporting and recommendations to the Investment Committee on a broad range of investment matters including policies, portfolio construction and investment risk management along with day-to-day monitoring and management of investment related service providers.
Chris holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) in Finance from the Australian National University and is a Certified Investment Management Analyst ® professional.
